Good Morning!!! Well early "summer" this year is driving me crazy. I have had to come out of my winter lethargy with force instead of easing into the season. Good? Bad? I really have not decided yet. I am really worried that the "hot" weather of the last 2 weeks is now going back to normal cold for the rest of the month and is going to cause problems in the greenhouses. Seems spinach, swiss chard, and sorrel have survived quite well under some remay out in the fields. It will be interesting to see how it grows out. Soup business is going well and picking up alot of new accounts for early spinach and salad. Kate my new farm manager is doing a great job while being thrown into things. The extra help she provides is greatly needed and appreciated. The other Kate (Kate 2) is back up once a week and really helping get the harvesting done. Soup is on the burner for market and man am I getting sick of bagging salad......Ah well. So hope to see all of you at market today, sugar on snow, I have veggie chili and a real nice potato,bean, ham soup. Peeps are doing well and almost ready to move outside. Need to get coops built and other construction projects on the move. bye.
